notwoways KOYRI ‘go for a walk’ notwoways unveil the 5th release with KOYRI, a high-top style with Surinamese roots

notwoways, a trailblazer in sneaker culture, are delighted to announce KOYRI, a brand new addition to their lineup. This distinctive model, rooted in Surinamese culture, represents a significant breakthrough for the brand as it ventures into the high-top sneaker category

KOYRI derives its name from the Surinamese word "to go for a walk," a term that holds profound cultural significance. This name resonates deeply with Rockwell Princely, the footwear director and co-founder of notwoways, who takes pride in his Surinamese heritage.

For Princely, KOYRI symbolizes more than just a shoe; it embodies a heartfelt connection to his roots, transcending language barriers.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, KOYRI boasts a range of impressive features. It's the fifth unique release from notwoways, sharing the same outsole as Formula, an exclusive design owned by notwoways. The ergonomically designed outsole ensures a comfortable fit, especially for wearers with wider feet. It also features a curved backheel that minimizes heel-drag, enabling seamless pivoting.

KOYRI showcases an extended orange sole arrow, guarding the heel from abrasion. With premium white leather uppers and grey suede overlays, it pays tribute to NTW's inaugural release, while its color palette exudes exuberance with contrasted orange, black, and ice blue.

The style features a nylon mesh collar and asymmetric tongue design for easy wear, along with a concealed velcro pocket for added innovation. Additionally, the material structure has been optimised to reduce toebox crease. Iconic NTW details are seamlessly integrated into the shoe, providing unrivaled comfort while maintaining a sleek high-top design.

KOYRI marks a pivotal moment for notwoways as it debuts its first high-top. Renowned for pushing boundaries and setting trends within the industry, notwoways' entry into the high-top category with KOYRI promises to redefine sneaker culture.

Save the date for NTW Day 2023, set for the 14th of September 2023, when notwoways will unveil the highly anticipated KOYRI, a true representation of what a sneaker stands for. Available from 14.08.23 - £130 - notwoways.com
