INTRODUCING: CREED THA KID

For Creed Tha Kid, it has always been about the music. The passion that burned as a youth, is now the same passion moulding his legacy as an artist.

Brisbane’s suburban setting has played the interim ‘home away from home’ role for Creed, with his heart remaining attached to his New Zealand heritage.

At 18 years old, the prospect of international influence and success is an intimidating thought, but not for the aspiring MC. With new music on the way, we were fortunate enough to catch up and talk about what’s next for him.

You premiered your latest single ‘Bankroll’ at the Project Store located in Brisbane. Describe the energy on the night…

It was dope! Everybody seemed to be laidback, yet in tune with the show and music which made it a sick experience for everyone. Good energy and vibes which made the night flow well too.

In what ways do you think your music can influence listeners?

It can influence other young artists that wanna be doing the same thing, people that like the same taste in music but also catering to anyone that can really relate to what I’m talking about, I guess.

Being as young as you are, how did you develop your poise and confidence in front of the mic?

“Getting a chance to perform a lot already as really helped me so I’ve become comfortable with it.

Where do you see the direction of your music heading in the near future?

Definitely tapping into other genres of music and experimenting with different sounds. I wanna get into the creative side, like videos / directing. Will also be dropping a heap of singles while working on the EP!

When touring becomes possible again, where are you headed?

America, Europe and Japan – for sure!

Explain your story in 3 words…

Perseverance, resilience and passion!

As fans, what should we look forward to from you next?

New music, a lot more content and more shows hopefully

As we anticipate the release of his upcoming EP, Creed continues to give us a bevy of reasons to be excited. The support brewing for the Brisbane MC will make his next moves shake pavement.
