Opening with a spoken sequence of thoughts from Mav, the track immediately sets a contemplative tone. Over a delicate guitar lead, he reflects on fading memories of people who were once close, revisiting brighter days while quietly acknowledging the distance that time can bring. “8 Stages” captures the feeling of drifting away from people we never quite made amends with, carrying a message that tomorrow is never guaranteed and that the present moment matters more than we realise.
