Bianca Saunders and PUMA Present: ‘38 Love Lane’ Pop-Up A Celebration of Storytelling, Heritage, and Caribbean Creativity

To mark Jamaican Independence Day on Wednesday, 6th August 2025, acclaimed British-Jamaican designer Bianca Saunders partners with global sportswear brand PUMA to unveil ‘38 Love Lane’, a multi-sensory pop-up celebrating heritage, identity, and community. Running from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th August 2025, at 137A Bethnal Green Road, E2 7DG, the three-day activation brings together fashion, music, photography, wellness, and food in an immersive tribute to Caribbean creativity.

Inspired by Bianca Saunders' latest zine ‘38 Love Lane’ curated with Amsterdam-based Photographer, Kwabena Sekyi Appiah-Nti, the pop-up is designed as a living extension of the zine’s exploration into Jamaican culture through intergenerational perspectives. The zine brings together poignant intimate portraits, family archives, and a rare interview with Saunders’ mother, Yvonne, to uncover how culture, identity and masculinity are shaped by landscape, memory and shared ritual.

The space itself is curated by long-time collaborator and set designer Y Lan Lucas, who transforms the venue into a richly textured environment that balances sleek minimalism with vibrant Caribbean influences, alongside striking imagery from ‘38 Love Lane’. Music plays an integral role within the experience as ambient soundscapes, archival recordings, and Caribbean rhythms play throughout the day, curated by sound artist and Girls Like Us Founder DJ Stephanie Okoye. As evening approaches, Donnie Sunshine and Kevin take over the decks with their high-energy blend of R&B, Dancehall, Hip Hop, and Afrobeat, bringing the soul and rhythm of Caribbean culture to life.

‘38 Love Lane’ complements Saunders’ Spring/Summer 2025 collection ‘The Hotel’, exploring identity through the imagined gaze of a tourist in 1940s Jamaica. The collection features silhouettes inspired by hotel staff uniforms, historical photographs, and Caribbean nightlife, using sustainable fabrics and reimagined tailoring to bridge past and present. The collection will be available to buy alongside pieces from the brand's archive throughout the weekend.

38 Love Lane’ is an opportunity to extend her creative world beyond the runway.
“The pop-up is an extension of the zine and a way to further celebrate my culture and the community I’ve built. It’s a space where people can engage with the brand beyond the garments, through shared experience, creativity, and dialogue.
— Bianca Saunders

Over the course of three days, the pop-up will transform into a cultural meeting ground, designed to bring people together, spark dialogue, reflection, and celebration. Programming includes a wellness session led by yoga and fitness coach Louis Walcott, who offers a unique lens on yoga through a masculine, Caribbean perspective. His session, drawing from the zine’s themes, inviting guests to reconnect with stillness and movement in ways that honour both body and heritage.

The pop-up will culminate in the breaking of bread, with an intimate dinner hosted by Bianca Saunders and her mother, Yves, who will lovingly prepare a traditional Jamaican family meal for attendees to enjoy.

Guests will be welcomed into the familial ritual, where food becomes a vessel for connection, comfort and cultural exchange, reinforcing the pop-up’s central message: that community is the heart of creativity and that home can be found wherever people gather with care and intention.

‘38 Love Lane’ coincides with the launch of PUMA’s H-Street “Jamaica Pack,” a limited-edition drop celebrating 63 years of Jamaican independence. The release honours PUMA’s enduring connection to Jamaican athletics, having outfitted generations of the country’s Olympians and track legends. Together, PUMA and Bianca Saunders bring together their shared values of resilience, innovation and craftsmanship to celebrate Jamaican pride. A soulful celebration of British-Caribbean identity. Through its exploration of masculinity and softness, legacy and innovation, movement and stillness, the activation becomes a living love letter to home and heritage. Brought to life by an ecosystem of artists, musicians, and storytellers, every detail of the pop-up reflects the vibrancy, strength, and intimacy that defines Caribbean creativity.

We’re beyond pleased to celebrate and spotlight culture in partnership with Bianca Saunders and her team’s vision. The brand and pop-up symbolize our shared values, platforming community and cultural tradition. PUMA’s H-Street has a rich legacy, born from performance, adopted by Jamaican athletes for moments of excellence. We are excited to continue this meaningful narrative, retelling our stories alongside talent creatives, such as Bianca.
