CLARKS ORIGINALS CELEBRATES WALLABEE DAY 2026 WITH “WORN BY THE WORLD” A GLOBAL TRIBUTE TO AN ICON

Clarks Originals marks the third annual Wallabee Day with the launch of Worn by the World - a new global campaign celebrating the enduring cultural impact of one of footwear’s most recognisable silhouettes.

Designed in Somerset and adopted far beyond, the WallabeeTM has transcended generations, geographies and subcultures - from Brit-pop culture to Jamaican dancehall, Tokyo street style to New York hip-hop. Never defined by trend, the Wallabee has remained constant - quietly shaping style across decades.

For 2026, Clarks Originals turns its focus outward. Worn by the World reframes the Wallabee not just as a shoe, but as a shared cultural language - told through the people who wear it.

Shot by London-based photographer and director Carina Lammers, the campaign strips things back to what matters: form, stance and individuality. Featuring a diverse ensemble spanning ages, backgrounds and disciplines, each subject is captured instinctively - their feet and the Wallabee at the centre, grounding the narrative in authenticity and lived experience. From the business man to the skater, the pensioner to the raver, the campaign reflects a cross- section of everyday life - illustrating how one silhouette moves seamlessly between worlds while remaining entirely its own.

At its core, Worn by the World is about permanence in a transient culture. The Wallabee doesn’t chase relevance - it accumulates it.

The Wallabee has always belonged to the people who wear it. This campaign is about recognising that - the individuality, the communities and the cultures that have made it what it is today.

Alongside the campaign, Clarks Originals partners with British artist Nick Dynan (aka @Me.Old.China), whose graphic and typographic work reinterprets the Wallabee through a contemporary lens - bridging heritage and modern creative expression. Exclusively for Wallabee Day, Clarks Originals and Me.Old.China have teamed up to create specialized Jesmonite Wallabee sculptures caste in silicon moulds and hand painted in three colors for a unique high gloss finish. Three of the sculptures will be given away via Clarks Originals Instagram during April, keep an eye out for details.

The brand will also release a new iteration of the Wallabee 2604 style made specifically to celebrate Wallabee Day. This years’ special release comes in 2 premium patent leather executions in a bold silver color and lush navy blue. The collection comes complete with special edition Wallabee Day fobs, extra lace options including a flat tonal lace, a round white fleck lace, and round white stripe lace.

This special edition Wallabee 2604 will begin to hit shelves on Wallabee Day, April 26th.

Over time, the Wallabee has become part of a global uniform - worn at work, at rest and in motion. An icon often imitated, but never bettered.

One icon.
Many lives.
Worn by the world.
