INDIAN RAP KINGS SEEDHE MAUT CELEBRATE A DECADE WITH HISTORIC SMX WORLD TOUR
Indian hip hop heavyweights Seedhe Maut have announced the 10 Years of Seedhe Maut – SMX World Tour, marking the largest independently promoted global tour in Indian music history. Presented by DL91, the tour follows their unprecedented run across India, which saw over 50,000 attendees turn out for the country’s biggest independent hip hop tour to date.
Set to span 26 dates across five continents, the SMX World Tour positions Seedhe Maut at the forefront of a global movement, carrying Indian hip hop to audiences across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK, Europe, and North America. With a fanbase deeply rooted in the South Asian diaspora, overseas students, and migrant communities, the tour stands as a cultural touchstone, connecting youth identity, language, and hip hop on a global scale.
The tour marks the first-ever world tour for duo Encore ABJ and Calm since coming together as Seedhe Maut. Kicking off in Singapore this April, the run will circle Australasia before moving through Europe and concluding in major North American cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto this summer.
Along the way, Seedhe Maut will take over iconic venues such as KOKO in London, continuing momentum from their standout cameo with DJ AG last year. Additional stops include Sony Hall in New York and The Lodge Room in Los Angeles, with two Toronto dates selling out the same day the tour was announced.
Their return to the UK and Ireland follows a landmark debut run last July, which saw sold-out shows at London’s Scala, Manchester’s Deaf Institute, and Birmingham’s Mama Roux’s, alongside a standout performance at Glastonbury Festival, cementing their growing global reputation.
More than a milestone for the duo, the SMX World Tour represents a defining moment for Indian hip hop as a whole. Seedhe Maut become the first Indian hip hop act to independently embark on a global tour of this scale, without the backing of a major international promoter or booking agency.
