JD SPORTS AND LONGITUDE ANNOUNCE WINNER OF MIX OFF COMPETITION AS PART OF WIDER PARTNERSHIP
JD, the leading retailer for sports, fashion, and lifestyle brands, returns with fourth-edition partnership with Longitude Festival, 2025. Officially starting the summer countdown, the collaborators announced Kian Flats as their JD Longitude Mix Off winner on June 11th at Block, Dublin, with D.O.D. headlining the night. Together with Pirate Studios, JD and Longitude launched a nationwide search to find the next rising star DJ — giving undiscovered artists the chance to perform at future Longitude festivals and beyond.
Kian, 22, from Dublin, was crowned the winner of the competition after going head-to-head with fellow finalists, Sean O’C, 19, and Shauna Dee, 26 – both also from Dublin – in a thrilling music battle judged by Dundee’s own Hannah Laing. Kian and other aspiring DJs submited a 20–30-minute mix via Pirate Studios’ submission link with hopes of making the final cut[NA1] . Over 500 entries were received across just three days.
“To play at block Dublin was one of my goals for the year which is crazy to think that I’ve completed it while playing a massive competition in front of two of the biggest names of the game. I’m looking forward to going to Ibiza for the first time and seeing Hannah live will be magical for me”
Kian, who started spinning tracks during lockdown in 2020 , won 10 hours session time in Pirate Studios, side stage access to Hannah’s Longitude set and a VIP ticket to see her perform at Hï Ibiza. Set to take over Marlay Park on July 5th and 6th, 2025, this year’s Longitude Festival see Hannah Laing feature alongside a star-studded lineup including global 50 Cent, Belters Only, and Sonny Fodera.
